CNC Setup-Programmer

Deublin Company has a 1st full time CNC Setup Programmers. The CNC Setup Programmer performs duties to program, setup, and operate CNC lathes, multi-axis lathes, and vertical machining centers. Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods such as boring, milling, drilling, facing, threading, tapping, and measuring to produce close tolerance parts of varied materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read technical drawings and set up the machines following these blueprints.
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
  • Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
  • Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.
  • Produce parts within specification. Obtain first piece approval from the Quality Control Department.
  • Measure parts with appropriate precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, including GD&T.
  • The ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.

     

    Physical Demands:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Frequently lifting or moving average weight material. Occasionally lifting or moving average weight material in difficult work positions. Ability to lift, move, pull, push, or carry anywhere from 5 to 25 lbs. with a max of 50 lbs. at times.

 

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years related experience.
