Deublin Company is seeking a People and Culture Specialist to support the production (non-exempt) employees and managers in our Waukegan facility. This position will perform duties associated with employment, payroll, training and employee benefit programs, following standards and accepted practices.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database; maintain employment records.
  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintain employee handbook.
  • Support recruitment process end to end for both exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conduct and place advertisements; coordinate interviews; interview and select potential employees.
  • File annual reports, maintain records, reports and logs related to EEO and DOL requirements.
  • Support payroll activities including completing timecard approvals, bonus payouts, administering pay change and other payroll activities.
  • Assist with employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Assist with compensation and performance review programs, update job descriptions.
  • Perform benefit administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Administer FMLA, disability, and leave of absence, and worker’s comp for all employees.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Exhibit proficiency in HRIS (ADP/SAP), personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Manufacturing or warehousing experience.
  • Employee relations experience, including experience with formal charges/litigation situations.
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing HR programs.
