High pressure water (typically condensate) is sprayed as a fine mist at high pressure into the steam flow. Water evaporates as it absorbs heat from the steam, thus lowering the steam temperature.
Deublin desuperheaters are designed to reduce the temperature of the steam supply. Our desuperheaters are steam atomizing type desuperheaters, which benefit from a greater of the range of control and avoid accumulation of water in the supply line during minimal steam demands.
The atomizing steam source comes from an existing main steam supply line.
